Questions and Answers

  • What is Body Contouring?

Body Contouring is a fat loss method that shapes your curves and leaves you the body you once had or craved. Body contouring targets the areas of fat around the thighs, hips, abdomen, chin, arms, and back that won't go away no matter how hard you diet and exercise.

  • What is Cryolipolysis?

Cryolipolysis (also know as CoolSculpting/Fat freezing), is a noninvasive procedure (no cuts, anesthesia, medication) that destroys fat cells by using cool temperatures to freeze the cells away. Over a period of 4-10 wks the fat cells will exit the body through normal excretion. Once the fat cells are destroyed they will NOT return. You will not see results immediately after the procedure because your body need time to remove the dead fat cells. *It is imperative to make a lifestyle change after having this procedure done. Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day to help flush your system, change your diet and eating habits, exercise at least once per wk and you are sure to see results.

  • How long does the procedure take?

Normally the procedure is 35-45 min per area.

  • What does it feel like?

It feels like tugging and pulling. The handle will suck the area of fat and that area will become very cool. After 5-6 min the area will become numb.

  • Is there any down time?

Because this procedure is non-invasive (no cuts, no anesthesia, no medication) you can go back to work and regular activities immediately after.

  • Does it work?

This procedure has been FDA approved to remove fat from 9 areas of the body. The chin, neck, underarm, abdomen, love handles, flank, inner thigh, outer thigh, under the buttocks. This procedure is not a form of weight loss so there must be a commitment to make a lifestyle change (diet, exercise, live a healthy lifestyle) to see the results desired. Every treatment is different. Some may require up to three sessions to see expected

results. After sessions are completed make a follow up appointment at your primary care office to have your general check up and labs drawn.
